Laurelhurst Rose Parade 6/22

On Thursday, June 22nd the residents of Laurelhurst Village decorated their wheelchairs, their walkers, and themselves and paraded through the entire campus. It was a fun filled afternoon for all—residents, staff, pets, and guests alike—all strutting their stuff through the halls of every floor.

Residents enjoyed the tunes of “Take me Out to The Ball Game” and many other joyous anthems sung by the cheerful group. Individual floats were created by both staff and residents.

Residents emerged from their apartments and joined the happy brigade as they made their way down to the Great Room for a post parade celebration like no other! Residents were greeted with root beer floats and wonderful music…

And then it was time to vote.

Staff, residents, friends, and family members all awaited the results as the votes were counted. The room was filled with a perfect mix of hallowed silence and cheerful excitement as the announcement was made.

The victors did emerge as follows:

1st: The Laurelhurst Angels

2nd: Wedding Cake Flowers

3rd: Medical Records
